John Cosculluela, President
Since 1985 Mr. Cosculluela has been an entrepreneur in the real estate and mortgage banking industry. Joining Vision Mortgage Corporation in 1985 as in-house real estate appraiser then progressing into several positions in the company such as; loan production, operations, underwriting, secondary and servicing departments have allowed John to develop an in-depth understanding of mortgage banking. In 1995, Mr. Cosculluela founded American Bancshares Mortgage and has served as its President since its inception. American Bancshares Mortgage has been managed conservatively as is evidenced by its continued operation since 1995. A commitment to maintaining high loan quality standards while serving the needs of the community have been a priority instilled from Mr. Cosculluela's leadership. Mr. Cosculluela has participated in joint ventures in construction development, commercial real estate projects and has created loan syndicates to finance large commercial projects. John graduated in 1988 from the University of Miami, Coral Gables with a degree of Bachelor of Arts. Various mortgage banking and real estate certification courses have been completed. Mr. Cosculluela is 2011-2012 President of the MBA of South Florida.
Juan Cosculluela, Vice President - Chief Underwriter
Juan's career began in 1962 in the ophthalmic industry. Mr. Cosculluela was founder and President of Vision Optical until 1990. Company operated 15 stores in South Florida. In 1985, Mr. Cosculluela founded and served as President of Vision Mortgage Corporation. The company was a residential mortgage lender originating FHA and conforming loans throughout South Florida. Loan volume ranked in the top 10 loan originators in South Florida by the Miami Herald during the 1990's. Government loans were sold servicing released and conforming loans were sold to Fannie Mae with the servicing retained by Vision Mortgage. In 1995, the Company and its servicing portfolio were sold to Crown Bank, Casselberry, Florida. Mr. Cosculluela joined American Bancshares Mortgage in 1997 as Vice President and continues to fulfill executive duties in production, operations, quality control and insuring areas.
Gina Cosculluela, MBA, Vice President - Marketing
Mrs. Cosculluela has been with ABM since its founding in 1995. Gina's marketing and managerial abilities have been utilized to direct the Company's marketing efforts in both the wholesale and retail loan production departments. In addition, responsibilities include the creation and implementation of compliance and quality control measures Company wide.
Gina's began a career in mortgage banking in 1990 at Vision Mortgage Corporation as a loan officer. Mrs. Cosculluela's was responsible for maintaining affiliate referral programs and creating a training program that began with loan officer and later became part of a company wide training program designed to keep staff in sync with compliance and regulatory requirements.
Gina graduated from St. Thomas University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Finance and in 2010 earned an MBA in Business from Barry University. |
